What's On in Pitlochry
The world famous Pitlochry Festival Theatre is open all year round and has a main summer season, and autumn festival and a winter words festival. You can enjoy a play, a musical evening or a hands-on event throughout the year. If it’s the pipes that you are hoping to hear then there are several opportunities to do so. The local pipe bands, of which we have two – the Vale of Atholl Pipe Band and the Pitlochry and Blair Atholl Pipe Band, play at lots of events and venues throughout the year. The main piping event of the year is at the Pitlochry Highland Games and is always on the second Saturday in September and throughout the summer season you can hear them, along with local vocal artists and Highland dancers, at the Monday night Highland Night held at the recreation park down by the river. This is a super evening of Scotland’s talent. ‘A Scottish Night Out’ takes place in the Town Hall on Thursdays in the main season and is a mix of dancing, singing and comedy. A comprehensive diary of what’s on will be left in the House for you.
