The Retreat Cabin, Pitlochry
A spa like getaway into Highland Perthshire, use our facilities exclusively during your stay and we think you’ll not want to leave and find you want to stay longer. We offer a range of extras, you may add these on when making the reservation on our website. If you have booked by an OTA (booking.com, airbnb, vrbo) you will not get this opportunity but please get in touch if you would like to add it on and we will do our best if there are available.
- Can we stay for one night?
We have a two night minimum stay because we believe you can not get the full use out of The Retreat Cabin in less than 24 hours! In the winter months we may offer a last minute one night stay but it does come at a premium.
- Are the facilities shared?
NO! Your stay includes exclusive use of the hot tub, sauna and cinema room for the duration of your stay.
- Where are you?
We are situated in a beautiful part of the country, we are next to fields and have views of the surrounding hills. Kinnaird is 1.5 miles from the Main Street of Pitlochry.
We are in the hamlet of Kinnaird where there are residents, please be respectful with your noise levels when outside.
- Can we bring the dog or children?
The Retreat Cabin is not dog friendly & no children or infants. The property is suitable for 2 adults, this falls under our P&K short term letting licence (PK12916F) and our insurance.
- What is the Security deposit and how does it work?
There is a £100 security deposit that is held on day before arrival and will look like a pending transaction during your stay. One day after departure it will automatically be release from our end if the property is left to a satisfactory state. We ask you to leave the property how you found it. We also understand that accidents happen and a plate or glass may break, please let us know so we can replace it or source it before the next guests.
- What is in the cinema room? Is it included and what is the package?
Yes the room itself is included in the rental, we installed the cinema room May 2024. It as a wall screen with an overhead projector the Nebula with a fire stick is signed into our amazon prime account you are welcome to watch all free movies & series, if you wish to pay for something please use your own account.
There is a cinema snack bar, please help yourself to the popcorn and if you would like anything please help yourself and leave any monies at the end of your stay. The package you can add on includes all the snacks in the fridge, freezer and drawer.
Any extra charges after departure for the cinema room will include a £5 fee.
- Does the hot tub have any restrictions?
We are situated with nearby neighbours and we ask you are respectful. Hot tub hours are between 10am-11pm. Each morning the hot tub will be checked before 10am, you may not hear or see us but this is to keep the hot tub clean & safe during your stay.
- How do we use the sauna?
Sauna is electric, two dials – simple instructions can be followed in the information booklet and we are at the end of the phone if you have any questions or would like to be shown we can pop up.
Please remember to shower in-between sauna & hot tub.
- What time is check in?
Standard check in time is from 4pm; however we do have the option for an early check in. Early check in is from 2pm and is £30. It is subject to availability as we cannot have an early and a late on the same day.
- What do we do when we arrive?
We do not have a reception area. The day before arrival you will receive directions and arrival email, on the day a text message. You will be given the door code and you may enter at check in time (standard 4pm). Please read all information and instructions and know we are there if you need more information or have any questions.
- What time is check out?
Standard Check out time on departure day is 10am, this is turn around time for the hot tub for the next guests. However we do have the option for a late check out, if you would like a lie in or to use the hot tub before leaving.
Late check out is at 12pm and is £30. It is subject to availability as we cannot have an early and a late on the same day.
